English language tutoring program coming to Norwalk High

NORWALK — A grant should help some Norwalk High School students learn English language faster. The Fairfield County Community Foundation has given $25,000 to Academic Support Program to Inspire, Reinforce, and Empower, or ASPIRE. ASPIRE was created by the group English Learner Support Services of Fairfield County in collaboration with Norwalk Public Schools’ English Language Learner Education Department. Day care owner rejects plea deal in child’s death

BRIDGEPORT – Carol Cardillo is going to trial. The owner of an unlicensed Fairfield day care accused of killing a 4-month-old Shelton boy with an overdose of Benadryl, on Friday rejected a plea bargain that could have sent her to prison for five years. Child Guidance Center receives $37,000 grant

NORWALK — The Child Guidance Center of Mid-Fairfield County was awarded a $37,000 grant to support its delivery of wrap-around mental health services to children and families at the center’s Outpatient Children’s Clinic.
