Hospital opens new emergency room entrance

TORRINGTON >> Charlotte Hungerford Hospital has opened its new Emergency Department (ED) entrance located in the same location and parking area as the former ED entrance but closer to Litchfield Street, according to a press release. Third defendant in New Hartford home invasion case sentenced to seven years

LITCHFIELD >> The third of three defendants charged in connection with a 2013 home invasion in New Hartford was sentenced Friday to seven years in prison, according to Litchfield Superior Court Assistant Clerk Bob Stearns. Trayvon Dunning, 23, then of 279 Franklin Ave., Apartment 2S, Hartford, was charged in the incident with home invasion, kidnapping, robbery, larceny, and burglary, all in the first degree, and second-degree threatening, according to state records.
