Officials identify body found at Millers Pond State Park

DURHAM, Conn. (WTNH) — Officials have released the name of the man whose body was recovered from the water at Millers Pond State Park on Saturday. According to the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection, the body belongs to Romiro Bonilla, 33, of Queens, N.Y. 19 year old struck by car in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) — A 19 year old man is in the hospital after he was struck by a driver in Middletown on Saturday evening. On Saturday, July 29th at 8:14 PM, Middletown Police responded to reports of a pedestrian walking northbound stuck by a motor vehicle traveling southbound on Newfield Street by Tuttle Road. The vehicle hit the 19 year old in the roadway and he was transported to Hartford Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition. DURHAM >> The body of a 33-year-old man from Queens, New York has been recovered from Millers Pond in Durham. The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection said around 5:45 p.m. there was a report of a missing swimmer at Millers Pond State Park. Connecticut State Police, Middletown and Haddam Fire Department’s and the Middletown South Fire District Dive Team responded and search the area. Killer’s body removed from Connecticut veterans cemetery

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (AP) — A state official says the body of a man convicted of fatally stabbing three people in 1972 has been removed from the State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown. Department of Veterans Affairs spokeswoman Emily Hein recently told the New Haven Register (http://bit.ly/2u7IBsq ) that Guillermo Aillon’s body was exhumed from the cemetery July 3. PD: Middletown woman found operating drug factory out of home

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) – Middletown police busted a woman for allegedly running a drug factory out of her home on Thursday. Police assisted Department of Corrections parole officers to 238 William Street to perform a random compliance check on a parolee that lived at the residence. Upon arrival, they met Linda Altson-Scott, 55, who also lived at the residence. She told officers that the parolee was not home but allowed them to enter the home and search it.
